After School
Welcome to our After School Club. We know that modern life can get pretty hectic and how difficult it can be to juggle everything. Cocoon have designed an After School Club to take the worry out of care for your school going child. We have this service available from many of our Cocoon centres, with collection and drop off from many of the local schools.
We work to create a loving and caring ‘home away from home’ environment where your child can relax and feel comfortable after their busy day at school. On arriving to Cocoon from school your child will receive a hot nutritious meal, have time to unwind and receive help and supervision with their home work. Once home work is completed, play and having fun with friends is the priority. Our After School Club environment is designed to ensure that the children feel confident and comfortable while in our care. They have opportunities to share their views and opinions about what they are doing and what matters to them. We involve the child in designing the activities they would like to do weekly. Some of these activities include: baking, board games, arts and crafts, make believe, invention, dance and music and creative play.
Attending school is the beginning of a new phase in every child’s life and it is important for us to listen to the children and get an understanding of how they are enjoying their new environment. Parents choose our after school club because they know that their child will be safe and cared for by passionate and enthusiastic staff, their homework will be supervised and they can then enjoy a relaxed and stimulating after school space to play and unwind in.
